Falborek Arabians is definitely one of the leading private studs in Poland, with several championship finalists from Poland’s most important events to their name. They are also the most innovative when it comes to breeding concepts – Falborek was the only Polish stud to use the multi champion AL LAHAB on their mares, and WABIA was one of the outcomes.
It would be difficult to find a sire more decorated that AL LAHAB. He literally travelled the globe, claiming titles in Europe, the Middle East and the US. The most important include ASIL World Cup Champion, All Nations Cup Reserve Champion and European Champion in the junior category. As a senior he confirmed his status by becoming the Egyptian Event Supreme Champion, Elran Cup Champion, Towerlands Champion, All Nations Cup Champion (twice), Dubai International Show Supreme Champion & World Champion Stallion.
One of the mares that Falborek chose for AL LAHAB was their home-bred WASA, the first private bred horse to land a top title at Białka, Poland’s most competitive show for juniors. It was a spectacular performance: WASA won her yearling class with 92,33 pts, including two 20s for head & neck. WASA continued her show career on Polish and other European arenas, among others adding a bronze medal from the Polska-Arabia Festival to her collection. She regularly placed in the top five of her classes at European Title shows, ultimately confirming her quality. No wonder that when offered at the 2015 Pride of Poland Sale, WASA sold for a staggering amount of 252 thousand Euro.
But show success aside, WASA turned out to be a superior broodmare already with her first produce, the 2016 Pride of Poland offer WABIA. WABIA is a Junior Bronze Champion from the Prague InterCup and her 2nd spots in class at the Polish Nationals & European Breeders Championships (Berlin) are just as noteworthy. WASA’s second daughter WERSA is a Wels International Junior Silver Champion & Junior Spring Show Bronze Champion, her third – WASHA – a class top five finalist from the Polska-Arabia Festival, Berlin Cup & Junior Spring Show, and her last – WASALIA – was second in class at the Polish Nationals and a high fourth at the European Championships. WABIA continues this grand tradition of superb producers with her own first foal the filly WANILIA SKY, who scored a class top five honor at this year’s show in Wels.
WASA’s dam (and WABIA’s granddam) WARESA is a Junior Champion Mare (private breeding) from the International Show held at Falborek. Apart from WASA she has also produced class top fivers WADIS & WARMA.
